Updated: 2008-07-03 07:34 Steel deal sealed Visiting Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej on Monday attend the signing ceremony for the Thailand-China Integrated Steel EPC Contract in Beijing, which is part of a range of deals being struck to boost trade between the two countries to $50 billion by 2010. The $10-billion steel-making agreement, signed by Thailand's Sahaviriya Group and China's Sino-international Heavy Industry Technology, is designed to help meet demand for steel in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region, which is currently 100 million tons a year.
