Updated: 2008-07-03 07:34 Court awards back pay Since last year, the Shanghai No 1 Intermediate People's Court has upheld 136 cases relating to migrant workers' delayed wage payments and secured 480 million yuan ($70 million) in back pay, its director Pan Furen said yesterday. The city's courts are committed to protecting the rights of low-income and disadvantaged groups, and since last year, have waived 2.44 million yuan in litigation fees relating to such cases, he said.
