Lu Huisheng, 40, has a master's degree and has been working in the First Brigade of China Marine Surveillance Headquarters, North China Sea Branch of the State Oceanic Administration, since 1986.

He was elected captain of Dayang Yihao (Ocean No 1) in 2002. In 2007, he was awarded the "Innovation Award for Science and Technology of Navigation".
