Octogenarian seeks out first love

An 85-year-old man has appealed to local media in Chongqing Municipality to find his first love.

In 1943, Tan Zhongheng, a university student from the county of Wanxian, fell in love with Huang Ronggao, a senior high school student who lived in suburban Chongqing.

Five years later, Huang's father approved their marriage, but asked Tan to take his mother to Chongqing to witness the marriage.

Tan went back to Wanxian, but his family could not afford the cost of travelling to Chongqing.

He lost contact with Huang and has never married.

Boy seriously injured in boar attack

A 10-year-old boy was attacked by a boar on his way home from school in a suburb of Chongqing Municipality early this week. He is now out of danger and recovering in hospital.

Ran Yaojun, a primary school student, received serious stomach injuries when he was attacked by the boar.

Locals wasted no time getting the boy to hospital, using their hands to make a human stretcher to save his life.
