An overdrawn credit card(CRIENGLISH.com)
Updated: 2008-03-31 16:10 As Wang Hexiang and her children refused to budge, Fu Pengwei turned to the bank for help. He learnt that the overdraft was drawn from an ATM. He felt relaxed upon hearing this. "As far as I know, the bank should have monitor videotape. Naturally it follows that by checking the monitor videotape of the ICBC China, we could know who the family member is that withdrew the money." Fu Pengwei called Wang Hexiang's again. On hearing that a visit to the bank might help, Wang Hexiang and her son Chen Tang readily agreed to go with Fu Pengwei the next day. At the bank, once the mother and the son learnt that the credit card was overdrawn from an ATM, they made the same request as Fu Pengwei did. "My son said if the money was drawn from an ATM, then there must be a camera. I said it didn't occur to me. My son replied that surely there was a camera for us to view the scene at the moment." Who on earth withdrew the money? How come he or she had Chen Ze's credit card and the password? Both Fu Pengwei and Wang Hexiang felt that the whole thing would soon be out in the open. Here is Wang Hexiang. "I felt really happy. Yes, the camera. Thanks to the use of the camera, the real bad guy could be caught. I thought that way." Both parties asked the bank to take out the monitor videotape for examination. But the answer they got from the bank was very disappointing. Fu Pengwei explained. "Normally, the bank only keeps the monitor videotape for three months at most. Unfortunately, four months had passed since the case occurred." The visit to the bank turned to no avail. On their way back, both Fu Pengwei and Chen Ze's family claimed to have no responsibility in this matter. The remarks became sharp and they were soon at odds. At this point, Wang Hexiang had an idea. Will it help? Please stay tuned. We'll be right back after this. |
