Drink your way into spring

With all the buzz about the Cool Docks becoming the next Xintiandi-Chip shops, restaurants and bars housed in renovated shikumens-CSpring Sunrise will likely benefit from being the complex's first open establishment.

Currently, the vibe is a bit empty, but not lonely. The staff nurtures a Cheers-like ambiance by making everyone a friend. We were poured a passable daiquiri and a guava-infused Pink Lady (both 50 yuan) while enjoying bar munchies like Italian noodles (35 yuan) and mini-pizzas (38 yuan). Furnishings are classic rec room (sturdy wood and brick) with nifty details like coat hooks under the bar. The bar is also neatly placed to collect overflow from The Cool Docks' live music venue. The management is considering pulling the crowds from the city center with a DJ and live music.

And, if you work nearby, they have a daily buy-one-get-one-free happy hour running until 8pm, pool table and spacious outdoor patio you can take advantage of. As the weather warms up, pull your posse away from all the same places and cool down dockside.
