As the old saying goes, "If you want to get ahead, get a hat." One of fashion's more noticeable accessories, hats instantly draw attention to the face, and are a striking addition to any fashionista’s wardrobe. Hat enthusiasts can now get their fix in Beijing with the arrival of Elisabeth Koch Millinery.

All hats are handmade in her Central Park studio from 100 percent natural materials. Customers looking for inspiration can browse her private collection, or brainstorm ideas with the designer during the thorough consultation. As with costume tailoring, hat-fitting is an essential part of the millinery process. Do allow plenty of time when commissioning a piece, as the crafting of the hat takes at least four days.

Items in the Vintage collection are not for sale, but pieces can be rented for special occasions. Otherwise, hats cost between RMB 1,000 and 3,000.
