Gallery like wine bar

Updated: 2008-02-11 09:21

At first glance, Vino Venue doesn't look like a wine bar. Indeed, with its spacious interior adorned with artwork, it might serve as a gallery.

The lounge area maintains this vibe, with chunky sofas set for causal discussions and art lectures. However, the Enomatic wine machines, revolutionary wine-serving devices which keep opened bottles fresh indefinitely, will surely attract wine connoisseurs. Here, wines are grouped by varietal, so guests have the opportunity taste and compare across growing regions. With the swipe of a rechargeable wine card, guests can order a tasting portion at 25 ml (from RMB 10), half-glass at 75ml (from RMB 30) or full glass at 150ml (from RMB 60).

VV stocks forty open bottles, and rotates its selection every two weeks; if you wish to know the difference of Australian Shiraz from French Syrah, therefore, frequent visits are recommended.

Open: 11am-2am.
Location: 1970 Hongqiao Lu, by Hongxu Lu
