Pur some salt

Salt combines a gray-silver setting with glinting silverware and whitewashed walls, along with intriguingly exotic kinds of salt displayed on each dining table: smoked salt, Hawaiian salt, Bolivian salt, even paprika-flavored salt.

Though more for aesthetic appeal than to serve any practical use, this was one of many examples of the restaurant's attention to detail, which ensured all our senses were satisfied. The amount of natural light shining through the windows, the superb service and the excitement of the open kitchen left us savoring every moment.

Dining on your rocket and watercress salad, with shaved Parmesan and Modena vinegar, the jangling atmosphere of the kitchen sang in sync with the chatter at each table. The delicate taste of tender pork loin with a rosemary-guava sauce and sauteed zucchini was fabulous, and the rich warm chocolate soufflé with molten white chocolate center was even better.

They offer two prix fixe lunches: two courses for RMB 78 or three courses for RMB 98. Prix fixe dinners: two courses (RMB 148) and three courses (RMB 168).
