Top-notch enjoyment(That's Shanghai)Updated: 2007-07-18 09:23 With the opening of this Bund bar, tourists and residents alike have yet another upscale venue from which to view the Pudong skyline. With its surprisingly tasty and generously-poured mojitos (RMB 60), Mundo Latino is Shanghai's newest place for top-notch Latin cuisine and cocktails. Like most Bund hotspots, though, the standbys (beer and soda) are premium priced; your best bet is to stick with the signature cocktails. While Mundo occasionally features Latin bands and salsa classes, those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere will find semi-private booths with plush seating and a small but well-appointed cigar lounge complete with wall-length humidor. We were almost tempted to sit at the bar with the jovial bartender, but the beautiful open-air terrace-the hands-down star of this show-lured us outside just in time to watch dusk descend on the glittering riverfront.
