The well-known Meiweizhen restaurant has opened a new club that offers a Chinese dining experience in the ancient imperial style. The Xihai Royal Club, in the Shichahai area, is a palace-style restaurant in a beautiful yard with bamboo, and a view of the lake, situated along the Xihai Lake and 200 meters from Jishuitan subway station.

Meiweizhen, known for its "Man-Han banquet? and "Buddha jumps over the wall soup? brings a three-floor restaurant to the new venue. Each floor has plenty of space, with dining areas, a cigar lounge, wine house and pastry shops also featured at the complex. It could be a great place to have a formal dinner, or drink tea and enjoy the lake view in the afternoon.

The food and service is ancient Chinese imperial style. Waitresses in cheongsam serve food with ancient imperial ritual. Tablewares look like antiques. There will also be flour figurines, cicada artworks, paper-cut and shadow play performances.
