I Heart Beijing is a comedy following the lives of two young women (one Chinese, one American) sharing an apartment in the smoggily charming city of Beijing. Naughty girl Tingting is a Beijinger by birth and a cosmopolitan girl at heart. She and her headstrong American roommate Sylvia have just moved into an apartment and find themselves hosts to the antics of their friends.

That is, until Tingting's arrogant and protective older brother comes into the scene, initiating fiery clashes within the group. American playwright Elyse Ribbons promotes the production as a "fun-filled situational comedy", with "a light and amusing Chinglish dialogue". Ribbons claims to have, "taken the accepted stereotypes", and "turned them on their heads". The play is an expat's take on life in the Chinese capital, and follows the two girls and their friends as they find out more about each other.
