Beat the heat at the beach(qianlong.com)Updated: 2007-05-28 09:06 Pudong Sanjia Harbor As the mouth of Yangtse River, this harbor has beautiful and wide-opened views. The sand here are is a little bit rough, but it makes for a good environment to set up camps. Here, people can enjoy the wonderful sunrise in the morning, barbecue with friends at noon and camp out in the evening. 1) If you want to spend one night camping, make sure you keep warm and do not light unnecessary fires. Dispose of garbage properly. 2) There are three routes to get there : a. Take Wusong Tunnel to Longdong Avenue-then along Yuandong Avenue-until you reach Huaxia East Road b. If you go along Xupu Bridge, go to Yingbin Avenue and then to Yuandong Avenue. From there you should get to Huaxia East Road c. From Nanpu Bridge, go to Longyang Road then toLongdong Avenue and when get onto Yuandong Avenue and then you will reach Huaxia East Road.
Beijing Xiedao Shuishang Amusement Park This place boasts the biggest man-made bathing place in Beijing. It offers a great opportunity to enjoy the sea. At Xiedao Shuishang, inland Beijingers can beat the heat and play with sand and seawater inside the city. On the beach, there are sliding boards and Go Karts that you can try and play with your friends. And to those with a more adventurous spirit can do some bungee jumping or go up in a hot-air balloon. Tips: 1) This place provides free beach umbrellas for visitors 2) How to get there: Go onto the Airport Expressway and take Weigou Exit.
