Sunshine Vegetarian Restaurant is a small, clean and reasonably-priced place to try some vegetarian fare. The restaurant claims there is no egg, meat, five-spices, or manmade coloring additives in the food.

Tables and chairs are painted yellow, and covered with yellow tablecloths. Serene traditional Chinese music plays in the air. It is usually a quiet place to eat, and is not always crowded.

Besides the usual vegetarian sausage and Chinese yam with sweet and sour hawthorn fruit sauce,one can try the assorted vegetables,which consists of pieces of mushroom, beans, bean curd, tiny corn and chestnut. Fried imitation eel slices is made of mushroom slices, tasting crisp and a little spicy.

Some other dishes recommended on the menu are smooth-tasting pumpkin soup and bean curd cake with black pepper.

The menu is only in Chinese, but there are color photos to help you decide. Average spending is 45 yuan per person.
