Cloudy Bay's fruity and pure wines inspired four courses created by Joshua Goetz, chef at Hilton Beijing's American restaurant, One East on Third. Goetz prepared the dishes to match the four Cloudy Bay wines brought to the hotel by Moet Hennessy Diageo in April.

The New Zealand wines are among the world's finest, derived from the climate and soils of the acclaimed Marlborough region.

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2006 is an aromatic wine with appealing fruit and crisp acidity, notable for its structure, complexity and balance. The wine matches light and fresh-tasting dishes, such as Asian fusion dishes, dishes with lemon grass, those with slight to medium spice, and with sashimi.

Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2004 is a complex wine, with dominant fruit characters of melon and peach blending harmoniously with vanillin oak. This wine goes best with grilled salmon.

Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2005 has fruit aromas of mulled plums, cherries and tobacco. The full lingering palate will gain additional complexity with medium term cellaring. Matching dishes: duck and mutton.

Cloudy Bay Te Koko is richly aromatic, with complex structure. The wine matches pork, beef dishes, as well as dishes with fennel, thyme, goat cheese, besides fresh oyster. www.cloudybay.co.nz.
