Professional make-upM.A.C's flagship store at The Place leaves consumers without any doubt as to why it is the choice of professional make-up artists.

With its sleek, modern decor and vast range of products, the high-end nature of the brand is apparent. As well as make-up in every conceivable shade of the spectrum (lipstick from RMB 150, eye shadow from RMB 140), M.A.C stocks its own line of skincare products (from RMB 190). A vast selection of professional brushes and tools (from RMB 110) is also available to facilitate the flawless finish consumers of these products demand. Any confusion arising from the baffling array of brushes is deftly dealt with by the trained make-up artists in-store, who will guide you through the uses and advantages of the various tools on offer. As well as having products aplenty, M.A.C also offers make-up workshops in the studio set back from the shop floor. A make-up master class is available at RMB 380 per person, or RMB 300 per person for groups of four to five people. For those wanting to forgo the lesson, full professional make-up application is available for RMB 380. Pricey perhaps, but the results more than justify the expense.

Opening hours: 10am-10pm.
Address: L120, 1/F, Bldg C, The Place, 9 Guanghua Lu, Chaoyang District
