Brain Failure from Beijing are one of China's oldest and most popular Street Punk bands and one of the only Chinese punk bands that made it to international fame, having been featured in the international media including a 30 minutes show on MTV and a Levi's commercial in Europa.

In January 2004, they finished recording their second album with Dropkick Murpheys bassist Ken Casey. In a Boston Globe article about the recording, Casey praises Brain Failure saying "their musicianship is incredible, and the songs are very catchy. It's real interesting to see a band come out of a place where punk rock is very much underground, while over here it is so commercialized."
