Hiking

Another exercise LOHAS people prefer is hiking. And here are two picturesque trails.

Huanghuacheng, Huairou District

In Huanghuacheng, there are two venues good for hiking -The Great Wall and the reservoir. No matter which route you choose, you can see beautiful flowers blooming around you.

Tips:
1) If you want to stay one night in Huanghuacheng, staying at a local farmer's house is highly recommended. Guests here can enjoy hearty home-cooked foods and organic vegetables.
2) How to get there: Badaling Expressway-Changping District- Jiuduhe-Huanghuacheng

Baiyanggou, Changping District

Baiyanggou is such an amazing place that it's best to save it as the last stop on your trip. Avid hikers will walk a long journey to reach its most beautiful sceneries. Though the way may be a little bit arduous, when you arrive at the destination, the fantastic views will make every effort to get there worthwhile.

Tips:
1) There is a small river inside Baiyanggou, named as "Five-colored Spring'. Visitors can buy a watermelon and wash it in the refreshing water, which is said to enhance the taste of the fruit.
The path here may be a little bit slippery, so a pair of good climbing shoes is necessary.
3) How to get there: From the highway, exit at Badaling Expressway South Exit, and then move southwest. After arriving at Yangfang, go northward and reach the Tank Museum. Then drive in a westerly direction unti you get to Baiyanggou.
