A legend unmasked

Experience the everlasting charm of Peking Opera with a grand concert starring the most pedigreed of performers. Featured in Monday's concert is Mei Baojiu the 70-year-old son of late Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, and inheritor of Mei school. Mei is joined by Tan Xiaozeng, of the Tan school, and Ye Shaolan, the master of Ye school, among others.

The concert will cover the most popular arias of different genres and styles. Mei Baojiu, acts as imperial concubine, Yang Yuhuan, in his signature episode The Drunken Beauty. Tan Xiaozeng will perform in King's Parting with His Favorite, while Meng Guanglu will play Bao Zheng, an upright Song Dynasty court official in the Execution of the Imperial Son-in-law.

Other classic repertoires include Shooting the Halberd, The Red Lantern, The Lucky Purse, and Ganlu Temple.
