Organised by the British Council, Aftershock includes photographs, sculptures, video works and more, all by British artists who rose to prominence in the 1990s.

Expect bisected cows and unmade beds. The cohort includes such tiresomely familiar names as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Douglas Gordon and Mona Hatoum; the exhibition discusses their continuing impact on current British art and artists (hence "Aftershock").

The show opened in Beijing on March 20th, after spending six weeks in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.

Capital Museum, Xicheng District, Fuxingmenwai Dajie #16.
Tel: 010 6337-0491/2.
Hours: Tue-Sun 9am-5pm. Entry: 30 yuan.
