Guijie

Guijie is the first food street in Beijing. If translated into Chinese, Guijie means "Ghost Street," which shows the street is busy at night time. Guijie gets its fame for hotpot and kabob restaurants. In summer, the street is filled with diners coming for crayfish.

Suzhou Street (Suzhoujie)

Suzhoujie is located in the west of Beijing, not far away from Zhongguancun (known as China's Silicon Valley), Renmin University and Peking University. Those neighbors make the restaurants on the street separate to two parts. One is most luxurious, meeting the needs for business, the other offers affordable food, for college students.

This downtown street develops to a dining street after reconstruction. Most restaurants on this street are built upon the Siheyuan (traditional courtyard), some of which specialize in royal dishes. After dinner, diners may take a walk in the nearby Houhai, a famous bar street.
