Five local rock bands, featuring five distinctive music styles, are joining
forces to unleash a guitar assault. Among them are Beijing-based space rockers,
Ruins, whose bluesy, moody 2005 album, Glide Like a Leaf, was considered one of
the best records of that year.

Renowned for their classic brand of heavy metal Chun
Qiu (Spring & Autumn, picture above) bring an Eastern perspective to Western
hard rock tones.
Joining them is one of the rising rock bands of Beijing, talented youngsters
Bingyong (Sick Larvae) who won a legion of new fans with their raw passion when
they supported Cui Jian in 2000.
From Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Buyi (Common People) blend rock and roll
with Chinese folk-rock. With some members of the band having been together for
11 years, they have long fused an echo of ethnic music with modern Western
influences.
Also on the bill is Maya band, which is comprised of four musicians from
three other groups. Formed in 2005, they always put on an energetic show.
