Located in the Bund's historical Nisshin Kisen Kaisha Building, erected in 1925 for the Japanese shipping line which plied the Chinese coast and the Yangtze River, the Moon Sha's majestic exterior is contrasted with an interior of chic dark modernity, with decor reminiscent of a sleek night-club.

The Moon Sha features a lounge bar and teppanyaki restaurant, with signature dishes including Alaskan red prawn, Australian abalone, Indian Ocean tuna and Matsusaka steak, all created under the guidance of head chef James You, who has over twenty-years of experience in teppanyaki cooking.
