The new Hugo Boss store in Oriental Plaza is bringing some hip new threads and a near storewide sale (most items were 35 percent off at time of writing).

The fall/winter line is stocked with pieces that appear conservative and traditional on the surface, but are spiced with an obvious twist, such as a grey wool knit cardigan pulled together with a pink and brown polka-dot silk tie (RMB 3,655), or a brushed cotton black tuxedo jacket with silk lapels, branded with a brown leather dot and electric green embroidery on the left shirt tail. The store also has some pieces in from the spring collection, most noticeably a black, Japanese-inspired floral silk dress with an obe-like sash that settles just below an empire cut (RMB 8,190). Unsurprisingly, the store¡¯s gems are their fabulous accessories. Casual Boss shoppers will be drawn to the brown calfskin messenger bag with canvas strap (RMB 3,650), while nothing could tear a shoe lover away from the most gorgeous round-toe suede flats in black with white trim, on sale for RMB 1,658 (down from RMB 2,550, also available in pink).
