At long last, Zara has finally opened at The Place. The first floor is stocked with plenty of women's business/casual separates such as block print silk dresses (RMB 499-929). The shoe selection is likewise vast, a pair worth mentioning are cream, sling-back mary janes (RMB 679), and the store's outerwear heralds the arrival of spring, with a cropped, fitted brown leather jacket (RMB 1,999), and a twist on the classic double-breasted trench coat: cap-sleeved with an oversized brown woven belt with tortoise clasp (RMB 599).

The casual line for ladies, Trafaluc, is upstairs and carries mostly jeans and oversized jersey T-shirts, splashed with indistinct designs. A small children's section offers distressed jean jackets with elbow patches, and a zip out grey hoodie (RMB 399, boys), and a brown and cream cotton paisley print dress with silk trim (RMB 329, girls). Finally, relegated to the corner, is the men's section where boys will find plenty of Ted Baker-esque candy-color striped dress shirts (RMB 399-499). Sherisse Pham
