The owner himself Philippe is from Hong Kong and is also the chef. He worked for several five-stars hotels in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Four years ago he came to Shanghai because of an invitation of the American Club. His occupation is in a very good restaurant at Xin Tian Di. So the reason why he opened the restaurant is just for cooking for his passion. His idea of a restaurant is more about cooking original French food the right way for reasonable prices and not having a very luxurious interior.

The guests are more foreigners than Chinese, because this kind of restaurant suites more the taste of the foreigners. So the most important thing for Philippe is to ensure that his guests will get really good food.
