While Maestro Ivry Gitlis represents the golden
generation of violinists, the young Raphael Oleg is now at the zenith of his
career. A charismatic virtuoso, he could start a storm of applause wherever he
appears.
In the last season, conductor Ronald Zollman delivered a
shattering Rite of Spring and a marvelously beautiful Harp Concerto by
Boieldieu. This season he is coming for a feast of classics from Haydn,
Beethoven to Berlioz and Stravinsky. Among the soloists are the promising young
violinist Raphael Oleg.
This is one of the Brilliant Soloists Series in
the 2006-2007 Season, also one of the Classic Repertoire Series in the 2006-2007
