GRAMMY Award-winning DJ Fatman Scoop, whose instantly-recognizable baritone standouts on such recordings by top acts as Mariah Carey and Missy Elliot, hits Club BonBon on Saturday for an evening of hip-hop hype.

Scoop's bellows on such singles as Carey's "It's Like That" and Elliot's "Lose Control" garnered two Grammy Awards for the New York groove master, providing just reward for his excellent work with so many artists.

He recorded "Be Faithful" with the Crooklyn Clan which went to number one in the UK and Ireland and hit the top five in Australia. The song has been a favorite in clubs around the world for years, but it took two years to clear the samples from Jay-Z, Black Sheep, Queen Pen, The Beatnuts and Faith Evans - after whom the track was named.

The follow up "It Takes Scoop" reached the top 10 in Britain, the top 20 in Ireland and the top 40 in Australia. Scoop knows exactly how to rock a party and he's recorded some massive party tracks like "Hands Up," "Where You At" and a remix of "Get Busy" with Sean Paul. He is also working on his own full-length album that is due in the near future. Until then, you can catch him making guest appearances in adding the hype element to tracks by the biggest stars in the music business.

The Fatman is notorious for his shout-outs and ring leader MC style. He's appeared in videos for 50 Cent and Elephant Man and if you have access to US TV or radio then you have probably heard a Fatman Scoop voiceover or two. All-in-all, his booming baritone, catchy hooks, frenetic energy, charismatic personality and heavy-duty presence are all part of his trademark style. Watching his worldwide tour clips online reveals a man with a bright charm but he's no pushover - he's forceful in a sweet way.

Artists like Amerie offer up props on Scoop. "Is it just me or can Fatman Scoop make any album hot," said the R&B diva.

And it is the Fatman's personality that really rings through. There are a few rare dance anthems like his white label treatment of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" that instantly rock a dance floor, becoming the highlight of any party night. And his infamous and anthemic shout-out such as "You got a 50 dollar bill, get ya hands up," "Let's go now! Let's go now!" and "Single ladies, I can't hear you" have been sampled and reused many times over.

Scoop is also actively promoting "Man of Wife," his love and relationship-themed podcast/mobile/TV/radio show featuring his wife and himself. The show has successfully boosted his profile and become the talk of the ever-so-fickle New York media circuit.

He partnered with Vidavee - creators of the "Quick Time" format to produce the innovative show designed to give listeners and viewers an "interactive and insightful role in steamy and wildly naughty banter between the sexes and a couple really in love," according to a press release.

"One night when I was in bed talking to Shanda, about what I can't even remember, I realized the conversation was hilarious," Scoop said. "I realized my own wife was witty, funny and sharp. Man And Wife was born."

The new show launched at Club Comix in New York. You can also catch them on line on http://manandwife.tv. There are 12 recordings in the series - all are hilarious.

Fatman Scoop is the life of a party. He's won a couple Grammy Awards and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music business. For over a decade he's hosted one of the most successful hip-hop radio shows in New York City, featuring guests and friends from hip-hop's A-List. His written column "Scoopology" is a regular monthly feature in Source magazine - he's the official hip-hop hype man for dance floors around the world.

Catch Fatman Scoop along with Da Long and the Killa Bee dancers at Club BonBon's Chinese New Year Lunar Lunacy party.
