Yaksa from Sichuan was formed in 1995 and by 1997 became part of the growing metal scene in Beijing.

By 1999, they signed with Scream Records to release their very first album "Freedom". They were very quickly recoginised as one of best metal bands in the China. With their second album in 2003, "FA FA FA", the bands direction in various musical styles showed their maturity.
