Starting January 2007, four museums in Xi'an, capital of central China's Shaanxi province, will charge visitors different entrance fees during peak and low seasons.

Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday the new pricing policy will be trial-adopted for one year at the Banpo Museum, Famen Temple Museum, Shaanxi History Museum and Museum of Stele Forest in Xi'an.

The new policy determines the peak tourism season lasts from March to November. The rest of the months are regarded as the low season.

The entrance fees for the four museums under the new policy are as follows:

Museum Peak Season Low Season
Shaanxi History Museum 50 yuan 35 yuan
Museum of Stele Forest 45 yuan 30 yuan
Banpo Museum 35 yuan 25 yuan
