Kill two birds with one stoneBy Ian Billard (That's Beijing)Updated: 2006-12-21 09:15
Sit on one of the cushy couches and play tic-tac-toe on polished glass boards while you wait for your food. We recommend the old Chinese standby tieban niurou (RMB 32) made from only the choicest cuts of thick, juicy meat, seasoned with ground black pepper and tossed together with fresh asparagus. Other classics, like the Thai spring rolls (RMB 12) or stir-fried noodles with BBQ pork (RMB 28), are equally good. If you've got the space, we would also recommend the sago mix (RMB 28) for dessert, a creamy tapioca laced with fresh mango and papaya. Parents will also appreciate Corner's elaborate (and soundproof!) kid's play corner. Now that's family friendly. Corner Market & Kitchen |
