Coming across Shikumen Bistro, tucked away in a corner of Xintiandi, is an unexpected hidden pleasure. Beyond the big glass windows is a long balcony arranged with dining tables.

The restaurant is proud of its Southern French cuisine, refreshing and light fair that makes for a more relaxed dining experience. However, the head chef has also added certain simple ingredients of Italian cuisine, as well as elements from the more causal approach of Spanish postre refreshments.
