Visitors can now tour the second floor of the residence, including her office and bedroom, which is opening for the first time since it was closed off in 1991 because of structural problems.

The residence was built in 1920 by a Greek ship owner in a 4,330-square-meter yard. Soong lived in the German designed residence from 1948 to 1963, and it has been left in the same style and condition ever since.

More than 200 historic pictures and 50 objects will be displayed in Soong's memorial later. The entrance price to the residence, on No.1843, Huaihai Road M., is 8 yuan (1.02 U.S. dollars) per adult till Thursday (November 30), and it will be raised to 20 yuan thereafter.
