A student hang-out

Apart from the major drawback of being in a very out of the way location, this American-style sports bar is a pleasant place for a casual evening out with your mates.

It's the perfect venue if what you want is a few reasonably-priced drinks, sports on TV, and pool, darts and that board game favorite, Connect Four. The clientele is a diverse mix of Chinese and expatriates, mainly students from nearby Tongji University.

The bar has a relaxed, friendly vibe and a modern, spacious layout, complete with nine flat screen televisions and an additional three big screens. Like we said, this venue is large, though very quiet when we dropped by on a weekday. Doubtless it's far more crowded on weekends.

In short, Wunderbar is a student hang-out, but the prospect of a very long taxi ride is likely to deter anyone else from visiting this ordinary, but pleasant neighborhood bar.
