Two new Couper shops are set to open in the near future; the one on Nanxiaojie Street, Hepingli will open its doors on October 28; and the one in Shaoyaoju (Chaoyang District) is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

In Hair Salon(Marwis)

There are three In Hair Salons in Shanghai; one is in the Dimei Shopping Center, one is opposite Raffles City and the other is on Huashanlu.

Only the Dimei shop has a female stylist, Catherine, and customers need to reserve her time in advance.. The Dimei shop also has two Hong Kong stylists; one of them is Thomas, who is good at trimming straight hair. Hong Kong stylists charge RMB 160 for a cut.

Raffles City shop has five stylists. The head of the shop, Andy, is well-known for his fantastic hairstyling skills and is quite popular among office ladies. The other four are Toby charging RMB 70 for a cut, Tim and James, both charging RMB 90 for a cut as well as Jimmy, charging RMB 120 for a cut.

Moory, a rather innovative Hong Kong stylist, works in the Huashan shop. He is best at doing perms and charges RMB 200 per head for a cut.

Zuhe Hair Consultant

A large hair salon chainin Shanghai featuring affordable services and simple but elegant decoration. It issues membership cards applicable in all its 17 locations. A one-year membership card is priced at RMB 70 (at the Nenjianglu shop, prices vary according to different shop locations) and entitles card holders to a 20 percent discount. A one-year-and-a-half membership card is priced at RMB 120 (for the Nenjianglu shop) and entitles card holders to a 30 percent discount. The membership card is valid only for the person whose name is on the card.

The Zuhe Nenjianglu shop has six stylists. Three of them charge RMB 32 for a cut and the other three charge RMB 45. Six stylists rotate on weekdays but all are in the shop on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Grace is the only female stylist and charges RMB 45 for a cut.
