Zharu Valley, a new scenic area, will be opened to the public as part of the famous Jiuzhai Valley, or Jiuzhaigou, in southwestern China's Sichuan province, Sichuan Daily reports.

Zharu Valley, also called "the fourth valley in Jiuzhai," will highlight ecological tourism and encourage visitors to embrace nature and help and respect efforts to protect wildlife.

The new attractions in Zharu Valley will include reserves for giant pandas and spotted deer and a walking lane through the beautiful "Immortals' Ground."

The construction is scheduled to be completed in time for the "Giant Panda Festival" in September.

Jiuzhai Valley is one of the most reputed tourist destinations in China, known for its fairytale-like landscapes of exuberant forests and fascinating "haizi," or pools with diversified colors. The beauty of Jiuzhai Valley was presented to the world by Chinese director Zhang Yimo in his hit movie "Hero."
