A cozy pub

(That's Shanghai)

A cozy pubPuxi is near overflowing with friendly neighborhood dive bars: places where you can grab a beer after work, chat up the bar girls and catch a soccer match, all without having to put on a tie or visit an ATM on the way.

In Pudong, though, creating a neighborhood feeling is not so easy-the wide, suburban-style streets and relative lack of foot traffic aren't as conducive to a cozy pub.

Congratulations, then, to Sunset Sports Bar for giving Pudong residents the chance to enjoy beer, bar food and ball games on their home turf. Though the interior design and menu are nothing out of the ordinary, the Thursday night crowd seemed to be having a wonderful time downing suds and flirting outrageously with the bevy of slim young waitresses who circulated the floor in giggling packs of twos and threes.
