A family alike eatery
(That's Shanghai)

You might need help to find Thai House-I engaged a neighbor to guide me down an alleyway, through a courtyard and finally to the door of an apartment complex.

After climbing the stairs, you are greeted by the sights and sounds of a family birthday party: cheerful music, lively voices and a small, neat dining room decorated with balloons and paper streamers. You can smell your food cooking in the adjoining kitchen while the friendly owners stroll back and forth stirring your Thai milk tea (RMB 12). The menu offers traditional Thai comfort food with a simple presentation. Begin with a tangy, satisfying chicken soup (RMB 30) before moving on to the red curry duck (RMB 30) seasoned with spicy chiles and sweet pineapple. By the time you finish your coconut cream pudding (RMB 20) you'll feel like part of the family.
