Latin quarter on Wangfujing Street
(City Weekend)

Beijing's most famous shopping street now has its own Latin quarter. Havana Lights brings Cuban food, drink, cigars and music to tempt Wangfujing's shoppers, tourists and office workers.

A wide staircase descends into a deceptively large interior with semi-private dining areas. The decor of white walls broken up by colorful Latin images, with subdued lighting and soft acoustics, creates a pleasant ambience for a private chat or cozy party.

Featured drinks are the mojito and the mango rum daiquiri (both RMB 40). A wide range of Latin food is served while Cuban band Luna Negra (from Salsa Caribe) and a good-sized dance floor ensure that you burn off the calories! There are even early evening Latin dance classes with Cuban teachers. With Salsa Caribe and Latinos focusing on dance, Havana Lights offers a Latin alternative with good food, drink and intimacy.
