Located beneath the Kuntai Hotel, Mojito lends a Latin flavor to an area otherwise dominated by tasteless neon and noise.

The bar's ambition is made clear enough by its sheer size: three spacious seating areas, a dance floor, a secluded lounge and two bars. However, the luxury of space may not necessarily be an advantage.

The sheer volume of this subterranean haven might well detract from the intimate atmosphere that could otherwise be afforded by its Middle Eastern rugs, curtains and low tables. Visitors may find the aforementioned decor, as well as some other aspects of the bar, reminiscent of a certain Chaoyang favorite.

It will be no surprise then that Mojito was the brainchild of one of Souk's founders, who envisages filling seats (and the dance floor) with the promise of weekly salsa classes, late night dining (offering tapas, soups, tacos and fajitas), and reasonably priced drinks (beers RMB 20, mojitos RMB 30).
