10 cities and areas have been crowned top summer resort in China by several non-governmental institutions. They are Guiyang, Kunming, Chengde, Dalian, Hohhot, Liupanshui, Lanzhou, Taichung (Mt. Alishan), Taiyuan and Qingdao.

The results are based on a three-year survey covering 33 large and medium-sized Chinese cities and 150 domestic and foreign travel agencies as well as civil institutions, which considered tourist feedback, statistics and expertise.

Mount Alishan is a mountain resort and natural preserve located in the mountains of Chiayi County in Taiwan.
