Ancient town in Chongqing

In Jiangjin City of
Chongqing Municipality lies the famous historical and cultural town
Zhongshan, where an ancient block with traditional folk-custom
architecture is called Sanhe ancient lane and also Longdongchang (dragon
cave field) by natives. At present 307 booths extending 1,132 meters are
well preserved in the ancient street. With green stone plates laid as the
surface, the entire ancient lane makes that one will neither get his feet
wet on a rainy day nor be exposed to the sun on a sunny day, and it is
also warm in winter and cool in summer. Residential architecture experts
value it as the largest ancient construction cluster in southwest China
that is best preserved and enjoys the most unique folk characteristics.
