Located at the foot of Yunmeng Mountain and 90 kilometers from Beijing, the 16-square-kilometer Taoyuan Fairy Valley (Tao Yuan Xian Gu) is near Miyun Reservoir in the east and the peak of Guanfengtai in the west. Over 70 sights, including one lake, six pools and thirteen waterfalls contribute to a gallery of Natural sceneries like the earthly paradise. The system of well maintained trails brings one to the various natural attractions within the park.

The valley appeals to visitors all year around. In spring, the mountains are covered by blossoms of peach and other wild flowers. In summer, here with refreshing winds is a summer resort. When autumn comes the valley is abundant with fruit and in winter it becomes a world covered with white snow and hung ice waterfalls. It is a popular refreshing site for people living in downtown Beijing who's fed up with the metropolitan bustles.

A part of the great wall winds nearby the valley, adding some historical sense to it.

How to get there:

1. Take train at Beijing North Railway Station to Shitang Lu.
2. Take bus at Dongzhimen or Xuanwumen to Taoyuanxiangu.
