The paintings of Shanghai school are on show in the capital.

Established in the early 20th century, Shanghai school presents pluralistic characters and a feel of openness to the outside world. Modern day Shanghai have inherited the style from their senior generation, with well-knit compositions, elegant modelling and harmonious dispositions of colour. Among them are Lin Fengmian, Zhang Chongren, Yu Xiaofu and others.
