I love Shanghai

I love ShanghaiSpend a night at I Love Shanghai and come back with your hearing, your wallet, a date, and maybe even a T-shirt to remember it all by.

At first glance the bar looks like a Bund souvenir shop, with tacky I Love Shanghai T-shirts (though we're sure you'll probably buy one) and street hawkers hassling you outside.

Inside it's an entirely different universe - black velvet sofas coax you, romantic candles flicker on the tables and the flashy bar imported from LA stands like a prized centerpiece.

Music spans house, lounge, reggae and disco funk; it's not too loud and there's plenty of room to move.

Special Shanghai cocktail mixes range from RMB 40-65, and ladies get free drinks on Thursdays. With high prices and pretension arguably dotting both sides of the Huangpu, I Love Shanghai is a refreshingly mellow Bund alternative.
