Citizen's neo-classical exterior is matched inside by the dark wood
paneling, plush velvet furnishings and period wallpaper.The upstairs dining room
is lighter in flavor, offering a spacious deck that come spring, will be a
delight.
The menu is fun and simple, featuring items such as Nasty Nachos (RMB 30) and
Unintimidating Mixed Greens (RMB 25). The wine list is similarly playful with
its labeling: who could resist a glass of Fresh and Easy, Subtle but
Substantial, or Round and Robust.
On the day we visited, the patrons, one might say, matched the venue: seldom
have we seen such a smart, well-dressed and extremely attractive group of model
Citizen(s).
