Funky 70s: Monkey BarIt's primate season: first, the release of King Kong, now the Monkey Bar.

Push open the padded doorway and swing on into the airy, spacious jungle. Complete with brassy ladders, the Monkey Bar has a funky 70s feel. Cream and green soft leather sofas abound; giant orange square pillars and a lime green bar gleam.

Stools resembling giant ice cream cones line the bar. Squish into one and enjoy Tiger on tap, a bottled beer (RMB 40) or a standard spirit (RMB 45) served by cheery, attentive staff.

Gaze across at blue bubbles bouncing erratically up the wall, snuggle into a lime spaceship booth, or sit upstairs in the glassed-in area. Musically, cheesy American pop fans are in luck here. Plenty of space and potential for monkeying around.

Perfect for: messing around in funky surroundings
