Fisherman's wharf

Updated: 2006-04-04 16:40

Ahoy, me hearties! We suspect you're sick and tired of dining on chicken and beef, dog and frog. So if fish is your meat, then pull up dockside at Ciro's Plaza. Say what? True, the name "Fisherman's Wharf" suggests crusty old sea salts, waxing lyrical about life on the sea. Or, perhaps, the popular tourist destination in San Francisco. Regardless, this restaurant offers a fair facsimile of the seafarers' environment, with its breezy, ocean-side feel and quiet, relaxed ambiance. Albeit, without the squawking seagulls. And there's plenty of fresh seafood to enjoy: the scallops, served with fresh basil and orange sauce (RMB 58) whetted our appetite, and the "catch of the day", roasted halibut fillet with mashed potato and broccoli (RMB 128), went down well after a long day's rowing. Overall, FW is bound to please the average mariner, though the San Fran yuppie prices are a tad overboard.

Cost for two (excluding drinks): RMB 266
Open Time: Daily 11am-10pm. All cards.
