Quality food and perfect service: Savor

Updated: 2006-04-03 09:50

A Western restaurant that offers quality food-smartly presented-and served by staff with impeccable manners is about as easy to find as Lord Lucan. Which is why Savor is such a remarkable discovery.

The decor is more classy, than flashy, and the service, led by the very capable Stanley (F&B Manager), is at least the equal of any five-star hotel in town. Indeed, the attention to detail paid by the service staff extends to the fare, including the Cajun lamb chop with mashed potatoes and honey mustard sauce (RMB 88), or pan-fried sea bass fillet with lemon butter sauce (RMB 89). Both are a delight to behold and, of course, to savor. Our only quibble relates to the bathroom facilities, which are shared with the bar next door. Other than that, the ambiance here is one to appreciate, over a long and lovely meal.
