Shoulder circles

Place your hands on your shoulders. As if drawing circles in the air with your elbows, roll your shoulders back by bringing the elbows both down then forward, then up and back. Repeat six times. Then change directions and repeat six times.

Side bends

Clasp your hands and place them behind the base of your skull. Sit tall and lengthen your elbows out the sides while drawing your shoulder blades down your back.

As you inhale, lengthen your spine at center. With an exhale take a gentle side bend to the right. Stay here for a couple rounds of breath. Inhale to come back up to center. Then repeat to the second side.

Gentle twist

Turn to sit sideways on your chair, with your outer right arm and leg facing the back of your chair.

Sit with your legs bent at about a 90-degree angle. Inhale and lift your left arm up and lengthen your spine.

Exhale and turn your upper body to the right, so your chest faces the back of the chair, with your hands on either side. Stay for a few rounds of breath. On an inhale slowly unwind coming out of the pose.

Then change directions and repeat on the other side.
